The Gorn, first seen in a memorable encounter with Captain Kirk in the original Star Trek series, are a humanoid-lizard race. However, when they arrived on the planet they found the Gorn were undergoing a crisis of their own. Jean-Luc Picard, and crew, were tasked with recruiting the Gorn species to their side during the conflict.

The did “Starfleet Academy,” which wasn’t fantastic but still cool on occasion, and they had “Klingon Academy,” which I loved and occasionally do a “quick battle” with to this day.Star Trek: The Gorn Crisis - by Kevin J. They had “25th Anniv.” and its followup, featuring the voices of all TOS actors. “Birth of the Federation” is one of my favorite Trek games ever, but they also had that FPS Klingon game, which was atrocious. Yep, looks like full-on Dominion War to me. I also see the Cardassian emblem ( ) on the front, and that’s the Breen ( ) in the middle. The Dominion has been left out of far too many games Legacy, Armada 2, just to name a couple off the top of my head. It’s definitely got the Dominion in it ( ), which – as far as I’m concerned – means I’ll be buying it. It would also not be the first game with Conquest in the title, Activision released a ‘collectibles’ game StarTrek: ConQuest Online in 2000. ‘Star Trek Deep Space Nine: Dominion Wars’ was released on PC in 2001. If this is a Dominion War Game it would not be the first. There is nothing about this game on the official Bethesda Star Trek Games site, but when more info becomes available it will be reported on. The category for ‘Action/Adventure’ is a bit confusing as one would more like associate a ‘Conquest’ game as a strategy game…but who knows. Any DS9 fan will tell you that those are the two sides for the Dominion War.
It shows symbols for the UFP, Romulans and Klingons on the left and the Dominion, The Breen and the Cardasians on the right. Hopefully the game will take advantage of the Wii’s unique ‘Wiimote’ controller.Īs noted there is nothing out about the game but the box cover (and title) may provide a big hint. From the looks of it this is a new game and not a port of one of the other games. The Nintendo Wii is the best selling new game platform and so it is a natural for the Bethesda to take advantage of it. Gamefly only provide a game category (Action/Aventure), a release date (11/03/07) and box art (pictured right… click to enlarge). It has shown up at the Gamefly rental service (which is known to leak games from time to time). Haven’t heard much from Bethesda since they launched a slate of Trek games in 2006, but this week a new game titled ‘Star Trek: Conquest’ has come out of nowhere.
